Greatest Pub Song Ever?
I was prowling around the internet looking at interesting links and stumbled across this thread in another forum:
Greatest Pub Song Ever?
After discussions with other singers (Wild Rover and JeannieNewfie, for instance) and my experiences in Temple Bar pub singing last January, I got to thinking.
What are your favourite pub songs and why? Do you give the audience what they want? Do you only sing the pure drop, very traditional Irish folk songs? Do you ever sing in Irish, and how does that go over with the crowd?
I have thoughts of my own, but I'll wait to hear what you all have to say first.

I don't sing at all. Dogs would howl and people would leave the pub. But I love the stuff that has choruses you can sing along with.Madra Rua wrote:What are your favourite pub songs and why?
I don't have one favorite. I like Seven Drunken Nights. And maybe Cod-Liver Oil.
